we do have freedom to speak out loud, but have to bear with all consequences come along.
in our country, we don’t have the freedom to speak out loud coz it’s bit rigid here. u won’t know what’s next going to be happened to u, coz someone somewhere gonna to take legal action against u with powerful unfair kind of authority loh. our human right is not here tho..but it’s applicable to other countries whereby u can complain everything down to earth as u want!
i bet u , (i know u know) u must know what’s “msia boleh” loh?

Freedom is something that is relative. It is even more sensitive in a multi racial country like Malaysia.

As one of the famous blogger from Singapore once said “Remember there is no Internet in Jail” so better becareful what you are going to say on the Internet.

Lol KuanHoong, before my second read of your comment, I thought you say “Remember there is no jail in Internet” !

I don’t think he would be in jail if he is in the US. Recently I took up my US citizenship, I have to read the country constituency, one of the things I love most with all my heart and soul is freedom of speech, media and religion. However, I also think one should exert self control as far as freedom is concern. It works both way.

My mom often lamented that we would be better off if her grandparents had sent her mother to US instead of Nanyang during the early China’s revolution.

Now with the free flow of information on the net, I think my mom comment deserve some truth in it.

Just my 2 cents.

Wow, how nice you got your US citizenship. Actually as long as they are not Muslim countries, every citizens have freedom of speech. Singapore, Taiwan etc.
Ming Chee I suppose he is influenced by Taiwan culture there so he took up his guts to critic things openly.

I just watched this video clip in the past two days, I only know this after I have received the link from my friend. Last time he sang about Muar song, I think is ok, but this time I sang about Negaraku, the first thing came out in my mind is “he will be get in trouble!” Anyway, this video really nice and funny!

Ya, when my friends saw it, all also say he will get into trouble. But let’s hope not !

I think I heard him singing on a rap song about Muar (if I’m not wrong), luckily RM100 only. But it’s a lesson to everyone of us …………..

Ya he got famous because of that Muar Song, but I prefer his “One Night Stand” song. Meaningful yet sarcasm ! Ya, lesson for us !
Hope he could get inspiration from the jail and sing to us how the jail life like.
