Malaysia most “diao” rapper, Meng Chee, has been taken law action after few days he posted his latest song “Negarakuku” on Youtube. This song is very funny yet sarcasm to the government and racists.
I really respect him because he is brilliant and creative, and his “patriotic” spirit. I was shocked to hear this sad news. Why? Why?
Do we Malaysian have freedom of speech on the internet? Is he at fault?
I would say, 50-50. Yes we do have freedom to talk about anything we want over the internet. As long as not directly insulting people or government. Mistake that he made was he put the Malaysia flag as background, with his face and name stated on the video.
Damn, how I wish he could be more careful next time!
If you understand mandarin, you should watch this great music video, Negarakuku, he made recently.
And before he was sent to jail, below is the music video he made to tell us how does he feel about this case. You can see that he is emotional and he is quite sad with his face expression in the video. I feel so sorry to him where we all just sit and listen and laugh at his music video but we see him got taken action by our government hence we can’t do anything about it… How sad isn’t it?
Relax, man. Do you feel insulted by his song as a Malaysian? or do you feel he speaks the truth?

Is he at fault ???

in our country, we don’t have the freedom to speak out loud coz it’s bit rigid here. u won’t know what’s next going to be happened to u, coz someone somewhere gonna to take legal action against u with powerful unfair kind of authority loh. our human right is not here tho..but it’s applicable to other countries whereby u can complain everything down to earth as u want!
